Mrs Patience Agbleze AcorlorHead of the Tema Administrative Office

Patience Agbleze Acorlor, Head of the Tema Administrative Office, holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in Social Sciences from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology,Ghana, Master of Science (MSc) Degree in International Marketing from University of South Bank, UK, and Diploma from Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.

She has further training both locally and internationally in Leading and Managing State-Owned Enterprises and Government Agencies, Project Management, Investment Targeting, Effective/Strategic Management, Business Operations, Benchmarking Investment Policies, Attraction of Foreign Direct Investment, Foreign Investment Negotiations, Strategic Investment Promotion, among others. She has also undertaken various online courses organized by the International Trade Center (ITC) including Understanding the Role of Trade Support Institutions, Helping SMEs Generate Export Business, Working with Foreign Trade Representatives, among others.

Patience has a vast and varied experience in investment promotion spanning a period of twenty-one (21) years has been one of the pioneers employed by the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) in 1997 as a Marketing Officer. Being a pioneer, her job schedules have cut across the various departments. She rose through the ranks to become the Marketing/Promotions Manager and Ag. Deputy Executive Secretary before she was seconded to Ghana Export Promotion Authority as the Coordinator for the National Export Development Programme (NEDP). She resumed her duties at the GFZA in her current position as the Director of the Tema Administrative Office.

She has represented the GFZA on both local and international investment promotion missions, conferences and trade fairs. She has also been a member of various national planning committees including World Investment Forum 2008, Ghana Investment Forum 2007, Investment Conference 2003, Ghana Investment Conference 2002 and the National Planning Committee for Ghana’s participation in the 2010 World Expo in China. She has also been the resource person on various training programmes including the Export School organized by GEPA and training of Foreign Service Officials posted to Ghana Missions Abroad organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Patience is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).

She is married with two (2) children.
