Hajia Hanatu Abubakar works with the Ghana Free Zones Board, an export-oriented Investment Promotion Agency as the Head of Investor Support Services. She holds a Certificate in Marketing (CIM UK) from the Ghana School of Marketing and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
She has been a mentor and a role model, for many young women especially Muslim women who look up to her to break all barriers and exercise their guaranteed right to be educated and seek knowledge for employable skills that would enable them rise high in the modern administrative system and be independent in life.
Through her sensitization and capacity building programs in the media, Ghanaian women have been equipped with the skills to access governmental interventions designed to educate poverty, ignorance, hunger and disease. Through her popular article, “Gender Balance and Women Empowerment: The Islamic Perspective”, she has sounded clarion calls on women to strive to take up leadership positions and be actively involved in politics.

Ghana FREE Zones Authority GETS NEW OFFICE COMPLEX
The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Ekow Spio Garbrah has on behalf of President John Mahama commissioned an office complex for the Ghana Free Zones Authority(GFZA) in Cantonments, Accra.
The Republic of Ghana is located in West Africa and bordered by Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) to the west, Burkina Faso to the north, Togo to the east and the Gulf of Guinea to the south. The word Ghana means "Warrior King" and derives from the Ghana Empire in pre-colonial times.
The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) was established on 31st August, 1995 by an Act of Parliament–1995 (Act 504), to enable the establishment of free zones for the promotion of economic development; to provide for the regulation of activities in free zones.
