REROY boss wins award

Executive Chairperson of Reroy Group, a leading cable manufacturing company, Kate Quartey Papafio has been awarded in this year’s Ghana Women Excellence in Business awards.

The third edition which took place over the weekend is an annual event, which is meant to celebrate Ghanaian women who are excelling in various fields of endeavour and contributing to the development of the economy.

The Reroy Group in a press statement copied to the Ghanaian Times in Accra yesterday said, “Mrs Papafio was awarded for her courage, persistence in a cable manufacturing industry, a male dominated business.”

The Reroy Group Chair is the only woman in Ghana and Africa who is in the cable manufacturing industry with a distinct success story.

Receiving the award, Mrs Papafio thanked the event organiser, Glitz Ghana for the recognition, and encouraged young and upcoming women to stay focused in their field of endeavour.

She said that women were better managers in all spheres of life and should stop at nothing in achieving their goals.

Other women including the EC chair, Madam Charlotte Osei were honoured in governance, entertainment, media, music and art, film, and public enterprise for using their expertise, position and influence to inspire others to make a difference in driving other women forward.
